Stephenie Kamaal, LCSW

I work with families and young adults facing trauma, behavioral difficulties, and relational struggles. My practice spans the full developmental range—from infancy through young adulthood—with particular expertise in perinatal mental health and adolescent care. I offer support whether you're a parent, caregiver, or young adult seeking individual therapy, using relational approaches to work through trauma, neurodivergence, and major life changes. With families, I focus on building stronger bonds and resolving school-related issues. With young adults, I guide you through your own healing process during this pivotal stage of life.

My services are evidence-based and tailored to each person's unique needs, including early childhood trauma work, perinatal mental health care, and age-appropriate support for adolescents and young adults. I work with behavioral and academic challenges and offer Parent-Child Relationship Assessments (PCRAs) when needed to facilitate your family's growth.

I welcome you to schedule a consultation to explore how I can help. Whether you're worried about trauma's impact, dealing with behavioral concerns, wanting to deepen your parent-child bond, or managing the complexities of the teenage years, I'm here to walk alongside you. Get in touch today to discover how we can collaborate on your path toward healing and meaningful change.

I am a therapist dedicated to fostering a supportive and affirming environment for my clients, I am passionate about working with neurodivergent populations—particularly Autism and ADHD—and I also specialize in chronic illness, disability, end-of-life issues, LGBTQ+ identity, as well as specific experience working with adult children of narcissistic or emotionally immature parents.

Drawing from my own lived experiences as a neurodivergent, disabled, and queer person, I bring authenticity and empathy to the therapeutic process. I’m a peer support coach who believes that healing and growth happen when compassion, faith, community, and practical support come together. As a revert, and a single mother to a 19 year old son, my journey has been shaped by personal challenges, deep reflection, and a strong reliance on faith, patience, and purpose. All which have been tested thousands of times.

I bring years of volunteer experience supporting individuals and communities, which has strengthened my ability to listen, empathize, and guide others with sincerity and understanding. I support people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected by offering a safe, nonjudgmental space and tools rooted in empathy, lived experience, and trust in Allahs wisdom.
